As part of our commitment to continuously improve our app, we are offering a User Research Internship for the summer of 2024. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates passionate about understanding user behaviors and translating insights into actionable design improvements.

Internship Overview: Under the mentorship of Douglas K. van Duyne, author of "The Design of Sites," and a seasoned leader in UX design, this internship offers a unique opportunity to dive deep into the world of user research. You will play a key role in collecting, analyzing, and integrating user feedback to enhance the user experience across our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research to gather insights on user needs and behaviors.
• Organize and facilitate user testing sessions, surveys, and interviews.
• Analyze data from user research and create reports that recommend design changes.
• Collaborate with the UX/UI design team to translate user research findings into meaningful design improvements.
• Participate in regular feedback sessions and workshops to refine research techniques and outcomes.

Ideal Candidate:

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a program in Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Anthropology, Sociology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of user research methodologies and tools.
• Experience with data analysis tools and techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present research findings clearly and effectively.
• A keen eye for detail and a strong interest in user-centered design.
• A portfolio or case studies showing previous research projects (please include a link in your application).
• Eager to learn from and contribute to the mentorship of Douglas K van Duyne.
• Available to commit to a minimum of four weeks during the summer of 2024.
