About GASM: GASM is a leading app in sexual and relationship wellness that aims to enhance personal development through intuitive and engaging user experiences. As we expand our reach and capabilities, we are looking for a UX/UI Design Intern to join our dynamic team for the summer of 2024.

Internship Overview: This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring UX/UI designer looking to deepen their understanding and skill set in app design, working under the guidance of industry veteran Douglas K van Duyne, author of "The Design of Sites." You will contribute to the design, prototyping, and testing of new interfaces, ensuring a seamless and innovative user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and prototype new user interfaces, incorporating user feedback and iterative design processes.
• Utilize our established UI library to create fresh and appealing designs.
• Implement app design patterns in ways that are not only engaging but also straightforward and user-friendly.
• Work on community features, multimedia integration, and AI-driven interfaces.
• Participate in regular review sessions and workshops for continuous learning and improvement.

Ideal Candidate:

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a program in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience with UX design processes including user research, prototyping, and usability testing.
• Proficient in using UX design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or similar.
• Creative and effective in applying UI design patterns and standards.
• A portfolio showcasing previous design projects (please include a link in your application).
• Keen interest in mentorship opportunities and a desire to work under the guidance of Douglas K van Duyne.
• Available to commit to a minimum of four weeks during the summer of 2024.
